We are looking for a marketing associate/content writer to help execute Buildout’s marketing strategy and grow awareness and demand for our brand. You need to be a well-rounded writer, able to quickly grasp our voice and vision and apply it across multiple digital marketing channels, creating and executing amazing ideas in both marketing and product copy in a B2B environment. You will help craft external and internal communications, ensuring messaging consistency across multiple platforms and channels.

You will work closely with the Marketing Director and Brand Director to help create online advertising, website and app copy, social media content, events, email promotion and other customer and trade materials. We’re a scrappy team so you’ll be touching a lot of different parts of the marketing function.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously challenge yourself to make our communications better and more engaging, demonstrating writing integrity in your work, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure all communications are true to the Buildout brand and vision
  • Execute our digital marketing strategy including blogging, email campaigns, social media
  • Work with cross functional teams to create marketing assets and copy
  • Work with Brand Director to refine content for design purposes. You’re able to display an understanding and appreciation of how copy and design play off each other.
  • Prep for conferences and events and manage vendors
  • Keep up to date with best practices and innovative marketing strategies
  • Ready to juggle multiple projects at once, often with tight deadlines. We move very fast here, so expert time management is a must.
  • A team player with an agreeable disposition. The role requires you to work with a lot of people in a lot of different ways.
  • Have a willingness to pitch in wherever and whenever you’re needed. We’re a nimble team, and you must be willing to dive in. Since there are mediums and projects not captured in the points above, consider this the catchall.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a branch of writing either journalism, communication, literature with marketing experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in either marketing, advertising, communications with copy writing experience
  • 1-3 years experience in marketing or agency-based copywriting
